Patch Backing Options

Choose the attachment style that fits your application:

Iron-on Backing (Included):

Iron-on backing provides a heat-seal application for secure attachment. Patches may be applied using a household iron or a commercial heat press.

Household iron settings: use medium heat with the steam setting turned OFF. Press with medium to firm pressure for 15 seconds. Completely cool before moving the item. You can press on the backside of the garment for reinforcement, but it is not necessary on most fabrics. For best results, always cover the patch with a Teflon sheet or a thin protective cloth during application.

Heat press settings: apply at 320°–350°F for 15–30 seconds using medium to firm pressure. For best results, always cover the patch with a Teflon sheet or a thin protective cloth during application.

Velcro Backing

Velcro backing is ideal for patches that need to be removable or interchangeable. It’s commonly used on uniforms, tactical gear, hats, backpacks, jackets, and tactical vests where flexibility is important. Velcro allows the patch to be easily attached, removed, or swapped without permanent application, making it perfect for law enforcement, military, security teams, airsoft, motorcycle clubs, event staff, and brands offering limited-edition designs.
